Train to Play
Train to Play is a strength and conditioning program designed to improve athleticism. This group training is administered in conjunction with the groups coaches, and is meant to compliment weight training programs already in place.
All team sports require the ability to get from a starting point to any and all other points on the field or court. In sports, this action involves 4 steps:
1. Hand, eye & foot coordination to react to the environment
2. Acceleration
3. Getting through or around opponents
4. Deceleration
Based on this idea, team sport requires:
1. A combination of strength, power, speed and agility
2. Core strength and stability
3. Flexibility through multiple joint movements
4. Sport specific endurance
Train to Play Goals:
1. Improve reaction
2. Improve acceleration in all directions
3. Improve change of directions skills
4. Improve core strength
5. Develop flexibility
6. Improve power (combination of strength with speed)
7. Incorporate strength gains into results on the field or court!Call today for improved performance!
